Parking is good. Music was excellent. Food is okay. First time I went fries were fresh and hot and good. Got them again. They... gave me a big portion but they weren’t hot. The desserts have been 5 star every time. I’ve had the brownie and funnel cakestrips; both were great. I love that you can make a reservation. Had a salad with grilled shrimp last time I was there. Shrimpwere big and tasty. Everything else was kind of bland on the salad. Will go back for the music. Read more
Second time at Johnnies tonight. The first time the menu food was great and the service by a waitress in the south end was also,... great. Tonight we waited a long time before our waiter showed up at the table. From that time on, we weren’t a bother to himbecause he disappeared. Somebody else brought our drinks and food order. If he was in the room, it was at the north end anddidn’t come to our table for any service. His little bun should pay more attention to his clients if he is interested instrong customer loyalty. Perfect early night spot, had an amazing live band playing while we were there. Tasty food and quite delicious cocktails, it's... attached to the movie theatre but feels like it's own place, all the staff were great and the art deco vibe is fun. Read more
Hats off to the chef! This was the best salmon I have ever eaten! The honey bourbon glaze was amazing! Our waiter was on top of... it! The positives - the service was great. Our waitress was nice and service was fast. The only reason why I gave this place three... stars - because the service was good and the band was decent. The negatives - THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE! For the price, the food wasdefinitely not worth it. I would give it two stars for the taste and one star for value for your money. I ordered the honeybourbon salmon with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. The salmon was over cooked and doused in the bourbon sauce. Usuallywhen I get something like that you cook the alcohol off for the sauce. Not at this place. The baked potato was not seasoned. Itwas pretty bland. The salad was fine and we also ordered the southwest egg rolls which was fine. Tasted very similar tochili’s southwest egg rolls. The place is literally inside the movie theater. I think the band would sound better if the jazzbar was in an enclosed space. Would I go back there again? To listen to music probably but I would eat first before I go becausethe food is terrible! Also people may like this but their drinks were so strong. I ordered the raz-ma-jazz cocktail and therewas no hint of fruit in it. It was supposed to be raspberry and pineapple but it was straight up vodka. It was just too strongfor my taste but other people may like that. Read more
