My husband and I thoroughly enjoy frequenting this restaurant. We live about 45 minutes away... Yet the mileage has zero impact... because we enjoy the authenticity of this restaurant. As with others, we have given this place much business over the years. However, I tip for good service. I will even tip for... average to poor service because we all have our off days. But when I get no service at all, I will not be tipping that. We liketo go around 4:00 p.m. and for some reason we have landed the same sullen waiter our last three visits who appears wanting to beany place but his job. I attributed the first two times as just bad luck. However, today was the worst. This guy seemed as if Iwere the biggest inconvenience to seat. Keep in mind this is around 4:00 p.m. when there are only a handful of other customers,but what appears to be plenty of staff. After being seated, we had the usual chips and salsa served after about 10 minutes.Another 10 minutes went by without any service. We finally had to flag another server down to ask for our waiter to come takeour order. He did promptly appear after that request. Our orders were placed, the food, which is still pretty good, wasdelivered in a reasonable amount of time, then we saw no hide nor hair of our waiter again until he brought the check. In themeantime, I had gone to the bar to get a soda refill and a take-home box since our waiter never showed up for us to make thatrequest. Maybe the owner will see this review and have an intervention with this waiter because I certainly don't think theirbusiness should suffer because of one individual. I certainly hope there is nothing outside of work that this individual isgoing through that is causing him to act this way at work. I believe in second third and fourth chances, but after that if youhave been offered help and still have not improved, you become a liability to a business. The sign in the window says "best margaritas." Hands down, i agree-the best in town! The melon margarita is so refreshing. ... We've always liked the food here, but it had been at least a year since we had visited. We wonder if they've made some changes.Because the salsa was so good I ate the leftovers with a fork. I can't stop thinking about going back! I had the flamingfajitas, which is a a showy dish. I wasn't in it for the theatrics, though they were cool. I wanted the Pastor and the shrimpand ???? bacon! It was soo good! I'm super picky about rice and beans. The rice was so moist and perfect that it made me feellike I was sitting in my auntie's kitchen in New Mexico. The refried beans are also my favorite in town. We went in betweenlunch and dinner, which we find to have less servers available anywhere we go. This was a bit true this day, as the service,while super friendly, was a tad slow. They missed a chance for us to order more drinks and we had to flag someone for ourchecks. This place is the best Mexican I have ever had Authentic. I ordered the #25. Burrito with cheese enchilada deep fried ground... beef taco plus one extra. Comes with rice and beans. I'm not fond of cheese enchiladas however, this one blew all others away. Iwill go back again and again Read more

Food was great. Service was a little slow, but they were very friendly. Ordered a number 22 dinner special: Chile rellenos, bean... burrito, cheese enchilada, rice and beans. Came out great.
