Nothing great to mention here. Food is mediocre, service is almost robotic. Friendly enough to get a tip, but zero personality.... Cleanliness gets 5 stars, for the dining area anyway. Read more

They are lucky I gave them 3 stars. Food is ok, price is reasonable, wait is expected. Service is and has been very poor every... time I go. I went the other day, waitress ?Kathleen? brought me my plate and said it was extremely hot while she held it with atowel. She insisted I take it from her hand. I was like, you just said it was really hot so I helped her out it down. It wascomical at first until I started to pour syrup on my pancakes and the lid came off, this wasn?t a cap, this was a Syrupdispenser that Kathleen brought out. When I started to pour the top fell off and syrup went everywhere. Shocked I toldKathleen and she said, uhhh sorry? after this, She did not come back, did not offer to clean, did not offer a new table, didnot even offer a napkin?. So I finished my meal standing for most of it. Tracked her down to ask for the check. This will bethe last time I spend my money on the BB. You're better off spending your money at Cracker Barrel. Like others, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. This place is just amazing. They have earned a spot at the top of our... list of TOP breakfast spots in KC. We always go early on Saturday or Sunday (before 7 a.m.) because they will fill upquickly. The staff has always been super friendly and they always seem to be in great spirits. To me that seems like this isprobably a good place to work. **For a late teen/early twenty-something to be cheerful & checked-in to their job that early on aweekend? That is saying something** The managers are always walking around, checking with all of the customers and making sureeverything is ok. The first picture is my 'usual', The Titanic omelet (think everything but the kitchen sink omelet)- with thebiscuit & gravy on the side and my wife's 'usual', French toast. The second picture, you'll have to forgive me, because I can'tremember the name of the dish- but it is a biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, topped with scrambled eggs, smothered ingravy & hashbrowns on the side. If you look closely, you can just barely make out my wife's less impressive (imho) WorkoutScramble. (One of us clearly hates our arteries more than the other) The last thing I have to mention, is their Cinnamon RollPancakes. What can you say about these things? Honestly, words fail me. Let's just say, if you are borderline diabetic, thiswill push you over the edge. Even if your sugar levels are fine, this will move you to within spitting distance of losing sometoes. It is just something you MUST try at least once. You can honestly eat them without any syrup, which I tried, but then Ihad to add some syrup because...well why not? If you are going to go, go all out. Read more

I live in Maryland and had breakfast here with a large group after receiving good recommendations from locals. The food was... great, very large portions at reasonable prices. The servers were friendly and quick to accommodate our group. They didn't batan eye at us squeezing 7 folks into a 4 person booth and pulling a small table and a chair over. We got in on the early side ofthe breakfast rush, parking lot was packed and the place was really getting busy as we were finishing up. Read more

If I could give it higher than 5 stars I would. Go on-line and get your name on the list as it will significantly cut your wait... time down. The service is AMAZING. You can tell that the employees really enjoy their job. Had breakfast here twice in the 5days I was in town. The Alamo was my choice the first visit, which is the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. It is HUGE andloaded with the good stuff. Our group also shared the cinnamon roll pancakes. These are to DIE for!!! Super sweet, but oh sosinfully delicious. The second visit I had the Yard Bird. Once again, they did not disappoint. Biscuits are huge and light.Super big piece of lightly breaded chicken sandwiched in the biscuit then smothered in gravy. Came with a choice of breakfastpotatoes or hashbrown. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. If you walk out hungry, it is your ownfault. Read more
