Whenever I've visited a friend in Lincoln, we've gone to Las Margaritas for dinner. The service is usually fine (servers not... commonly that personable but ...) and the food I'd say is probably a 3 1/2 to 4 out of 5. It never really makes it beyond thatbut it holds the 3 & 1/2 mark rather well. Last evening we stopped here and I asked if they had fish tacos, to which the serverguided me to on the menu and I said "that'll do". Now, I'll take partial blame here for not looking closer, but I thought theitem came with black beans and rice, which was listed as sides at the top of this very portion of the menu. When I received thevery large oval plate, it was three tacos (not bad, not great, but the place is consistent at least) and literally half theplate was their rice (never been very impressed by their rice, not much in spices or flavor for what gives the impression as atruer Mexican place). There was literally a mile of rice! Needless to say I barely touched the rice. When I got the bill this"dinner" was $28!!! Three average-sized, if not small, fish tacos (again, nothing special with seasonings etc) and a pound ofrice! I was amazed! This is NOT a $28 type of establishment, I'm sorry! I could have gotten 3 fish tacos ala carte just as goodif not better as similar restaurants for HALF this and it would have been better than any of that rice. The quantity of food was good but the service packed a little. I got a the steak topped with chorizo with chicken chimichanga ,... rice and beans. I asked for medium on the steak and it seemed more well done. Some bites of steak were good then some tastedmore like fish...I understand that food can touch and get cooked in same pan but it was just weird. The rice had same problemsome bites were good and some tasted burnt. The beans and chorizo were good. I wasn't a fan of the chunky salsa and neither werethe kids. Read more

I am always happy when I find flautas on the menu! The chicken flautas were very crispy. I loved the 2 different styles of salsa... they brought out before our meal. Overall it was very traditional Mexican food experience. Very elaborate margarita menu aswell, so the restaurant does live up to its name! Read more
