Super friendly folks that love dogs (both hot and not!) My wife and I found a couple dogs that got loose nearby and these folks... were kind enough to give us a hot dog to coax them out so animal control could pick them up. Weiner Genie is run by some qualitypeople! Read more
High marks for the food; low marks for the THOROUGHLY unpleasant owner. I don't know if I just caught him on a bad day or... something, but he was extremely rude, getting mad that I asked to substitute the soda that came with my meal with extra friesand insisting that he'd have to charge me extra for a substitution that is free and standard at every other wiener joint in thestate (but I guess that's why places like Baba's are recognized as historic institutions vs Wiener Genie not being nearly asfamous or beloved; I was the only person in there on a Saturday afternoon), and then threatened to "take care" of one of hisemployees when I told him that they'd done the substitution before (seems like they understand customer service better than theowner who profits and leeches off of THEIR hard work). It's one thing to be cheap, but to threaten your employees IN FRONT OFCUSTOMERS?! Yeah, no; that left a really bad taste in my mouth; I unfortunately can never support this place again. The ownerneeds to learn how to appreciate his customers and his employees, aka the people that help him make HIS dreams of running thisplace a reality; he really should be embarrassed by his conduct; give your money to people who actually care about being part ofthe community, like Baba's in Providence. Disappointed. Ordered 10 weiners 3 no mustard 7 all the way and got 3 that was meat bun and weiner only. 3 had no mustard and... the other 4 don't know yet because they went to my grandsons apt. For almost $50 in food, there shouldn't be one complaintespecially when the order was written down. ???????? otherwise the food itself was tasty and the place looked very clean. Iunderstand mistakes happen and would honestly like to give more stars but guess we'll see what happens next visit. Read more
