i have been coming here for over 10 years, and i will cry the day this place closes. their bento boxes are so good, so is the... sushi. BEST rice ever, i dont know how to explain it. I love this place. I go here every year on my birthday. Nice staff, niceambiance. Read more
It's always crowded and justifiably so. Great lunch selection that come pretty close to what you'd see in ??. I had the... Tonkatsu and it was good. I liked the sushi and the Miso was good as well. Not quite like the amazing Tonkatsu I'm used to, butgood. Read more
Given that it's been around for over 30 years when there were hardly ANY sushi restaurants in all of Chicagoland, I would have... to say this is arguably the best one in town. It simply doesn't get the recognition because of it's quiet location inLincolnwood. But it's superb. The rolls, nigiri and sashimi pieces have what I like to call 'weight.' There is a heaviness,almost dense texture which feels as if you're eating something that was caught and cut the very same day. Extremely fresh andprepared exquisitely, one would assume they were in Japan having their meal. The restaurant is owned by Hiso Yemada who is alsothe chef. There is a sense of culturual fusion with his style--it's almost ingrained in the food. This plave is a must for thosewho crave sushi. Read more

First time at this particular restaurant. I usually order nigiri and maki but I wanted to try something different this evening.... The sashimi and shumai was great. I got the Sanma Shioyaki as my entree and I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it tasted.I would recommend getting an extra bowl of rice with the entrees as I think one bowl is not enough -- for me at least. The icedgreen tea is also very refreshing. Unfortunately, I did not get dessert this round but I look forward to try out the remainingmenu items on future visits. Read more
