In 1996 this former fish house became the mainstay of waterfront dining in the historic port town of Little River. Located along... side the Intracoastal Waterway, one can enjoy fresh fish, soups, salads, burgers, steaks and other made from scratch seafooddishes. Full bar offers whatever you need to wet your whistle. Limited seating of wood tables and plastic chairs is available onthe porch or out on the larger, covered deck and tiki bar overlooking the water. My choice for lunch were the Fish/Shrimp Tacosthat came with 6 seafood options, prices vary, and for an extra cost one can have it grilled or grilled and blackened. I optedfor the grilled grouper and in no time I was being served two generous filets of grilled, seasoned grouper with lettuce, cheeseand their own homemade mango salsa on two flour tortillas. A side of homemade chips made the meal just that more enjoyable. Ithorough enjoyed the fresh taste, without all the breading and the presentation was simple letting the portions speak foritself. Service was spot on and prices were comparable to other such establishments serving fresh catch cuisine. Also, one getsthe pleasure on their birthday to receive their age as percentage off of their meal. So, when grandpa reaches 100 time to takehim here for a free meal. Just saying. Read more

We have dinner here at least once every year on vacation. The scallops are the best I've ever had. AND they deep fry their... corn on the cob, which is amazing. It's off the beaten path and situated along the Little River. Indoor or outdoor seatingavailable. Definitely worth a stop. They don't take reservations so go a little early. The secret is out and this placefills up fast. Read more

Good seafood in a picturesque location! Just about all menu items are battered and fried. The oyster dinner was tasty and... filling. The blue crab bites were good, but overpriced ($19). Service was fine, but everything happens manually, so have a lookat your check to make sure the calculations are correct. Overall, a nice family-run restaurant that serves honest food! Read more

REASON TO MAKE THIS A FAVORITE: Their fried oysters and fried scallops were up there with the best I’ve ever had and I’ve... eaten seafood all my life and all over the country. It was was actually our second time to Crab Catchers. I’ve tried theirfried scallops, fried oysters, French fries, haddock, and mahi-mahi, and they were all great, and as mentioned above the oystersand scallops were elite! I also had the “little neck clams”, which were not actually real little neck clams, which wasactually even what the server admitted. They were tiny little clams with no “necks” at all. My advice is to take “littleneck” off the menu as that’s not actually the specie of clam being served. Other than that, everything was amazing. It’sa perfect location. It’s right on the inter coastal with a huge deck dock, surrounded by boats, and a great atmospherethat’s casual and kid friendly. Our kids loved watching all the boats, so it’s great to have something that distracts themwhen they finish eating 1.5 minutes after the food shows up. Read more
