Ordered half pound of the spicy boiled shrimp with 2 hush puppies and fried okra. Bland beyond bland. Before calling anything... spicy, spice should be added - beginning with salt. Fried okra? Pretty sure it was literally one okra. This was our 4th attemptto eat here. First three times we tried to call in an order. Never could get anyone to answer the phone. Our “successful”experience was walking in and ordering. Took 20+ minutes to get our food in a mostly empty restaurant at 3:00 on a Saturday. Mypartner had the fried catfish and shrimp dinner and it was equally disappointing. No salt or seasoning. Off to brush my teeth totry and remove the wonky chlorinated shrimp taste from my mouth. I really like Eat My Catfish. This visit was not the best however. Order was ready 20 minutes later than expected, I was told... the blackened fish was taking longer. Then was told corn not available. The fried green tomatoes were puny compared toprevious visits and tasted off. A few of the shrimp were burned. I have faith future visits will be better, yet this one wasnot optimal. Read more

The name of this place really caught my attention. I don’t know what it is about the front menu board, but I really like it!... It’s just really cool looking! The esthetic and cleanliness was above par. We did encounter a few issues during our visit BUTit was Friday night and super busy, so Id expect mistakes to happen, nobody’s perfect after-all. What really impressed me waswho I believed to be a manager, Ryan. He was so unbelievably kind and professional. He handled our issue with the utmostimportance and sentiment. He had a calmness about him that just made him seem so reassuring. The food was really good butoverall, it was the actions of Ryan that assured I would visit again. Read more

UPDATE 8/8: Following the response to this review, I reached out to the lead manager via email. He handled the situation well,... apologizing for the experience. Additionally, he offered me a meal voucher! I think the situation was handled very well, and Ilook forward to giving them another try. Food was good and everyone was nice, but I paid $19 for blackened shrimp, fried okra,2 hush puppies, and baked beans. When the server brought my food to the table, he made a comment that I wasn’t given muchokra. Very true - I maybe had 5 pieces. He went to the kitchen to get me more, but was told that they were out. Completelyunderstandable. However, I wasn’t offered any other substitution. I paid an extra $1 for fried okra and had the smallestserving ever. The beans were also a very small serving - maybe 1-2 medium-large spoonfuls. The shrimp were also very small insize. Overall, the food was tasty and people were nice, but I paid $19 for less than what a kids meal would have in it. Needlessto say, I had to come home and eat more to get reasonably full. I’m disappointed in the price per quantity I received. Read more

It was me and some coworkers that went out for lunch here on a Monday. That was a mistake. They were out of shrimp which is what... half of us wanted, and they were out of the Cajun rice. The fried fish was so thin you could even taste the fish, only theseasoning. The hush puppies were over cooked. I ordered the garlic fries but didn’t realize they were going to cover them inactual garlic chunks. Way over seasoned. There was standing water on the floor next to the kitchen so of course it smelled badtoo. Honestly I could keep complaining about how bad of a place this was, but I think the point has been made. There’s better(and cheaper) places for shrimp and catch fish. Read more
