If you want a dog, then this is the place. No nonsense. Cafeteria style setup. Order your dog and move on down the line.... Mustard, relish (sweet or dill), onions, and ketchup (if you?re in to that) is available to dress your own dog. I got some friedpickles as well. Read more
I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and it was extremely difficult to eat. Once I picked it up, the bread broke open and everything... on the inside, spilled out. It tasted average overall, but the onions and and peppers formed a good combination of flavor thatsaves it from getting two stars. I'm in Syracuse visiting family (I live in North Carolina), and we stopped at Heid's for a quick bite. This is a regular spot... for my brother and sister in law; I'm glad they recommended it! Nice local hole in the wall kind of diner, I had a NY style dog,a Gianelli sausage, fries, and motz sticks with marinara. Overall the food was fantastic, and the service was fast and friendly,I highly recommend Heid's!! Read more
