An excellent place in Livingston. The staff was extremely courteous and the food was worthy of being called from a Cajun place... (coming from a Cajun, so there?s some cred there). After a back and forth discussion with the fam, we landed on the alligatorbites for an appetizer. Perfectly cooked. I had the jambalaya with everything and it was fantastic. My wife had the blackenedcatfish, very good. I?m not sure it was the absolute best I?ve ever had, but it was definitely in the above average category. Mydaughter had the Cajun pasta (I think that was the name). She really enjoyed it and said it was better than other Cajun pastasshe?d had, so that?s something. I had a taste and it was very good. We also had red beans and rice and garlic bread with ourorders. All very good. I wish the read beans and rice had some sausage in it, but nevertheless, it was still good and worthy. Wehad limited space for take home containers in our ice chest, so I always offer the choice to everyone if they?d rather keep whatwe have or take this. It was unanimous to throw away what was there (which was some awesome fried chicken and fried steak) forall the Cajun food. So, this place is a definite winner and keeper in our book. Read more
The best seafood around and I have lived here for 40 years. The breading for the fish, mushrooms, scallops and shrimp was light... and flavored nicely. It is order at the counter style and self serve drinks. The staff was nice and helpful. Read more

Super sweet staff? Of course it?s Livingston Texas! Extremely tasty food. If you like fried fish and fried shrimp and fried... oysters? This is an excellent place to come. It is not over cooked and is not greasy. The food was extremely good and we wouldnot have known about this place had we not stumbled upon it. We will seek it out next time. It was a nice surprise. Theatmosphere is wonderful. They have a really cool and breezy front patio that is covered to eat outside and enjoy the Texasweather. This is one of the rare gems in The Texas Piney Woods.
