We got a cockroach on one of our dining plates. Never going back to them. I don?t think the owner/manager even bothered about... it. Food is not really appealing. Very expensive for their standards and food they serve, just a high rated store. Don?t thinkwe got discount because of inconvenience we faced with cockroach in our plate, we paid cash and got cash discount just likeevery other customer. 168 has some of the freshest made sushi in London, consistently. They do a good job with variety and carry pretty much anything... you might want. The service is decent. Sometimes chaotic and they miss things from the order, but that's par for the course onall you can eat sushi. Read more

I used to go to 168 Sushi quite often, however, after one thing I just realized, I'll never be going again. We were 5 people and... I ended up paying the whole bill to split after between my friend and me. At home, when I started to do the calc, I saw a 15%service tax, and I asked my wife, wow now instead of 13% (HST) it's increased to 15%. Then she said, no, we paid 13% + 15%. Icalled the restaurant and asked what was about, and the manager told me, it's a service fee that we add if are in a group of 5+people. So I questioned him and he said, it's a tip!! I said, but I also paid a tip on top of that, then he says, oh that'sfine, come to the restaurant and I'll reimburse you. This is a shame, tips are not mandatory at all! He said it is part of theirpolicy, right after I asked if it was legal, and he couldn't explain. He just lost 5 customers and hopefully, this gets people'sattention and they lose more and more. It's not because of the 15%, but they don't say anything, they just have a hidden papersaying that...they must be clear with that, just like they asked how old was my son, and I paid for a 6yo child all you can eatfee. Just as an FYI, if you go with 5+ people and at the end tip 25%, you'll be tipping 50% in reality!!! Read more
