How is this place still getting reviews? It closed ?temporarily? over two years ago at the beginning of COVID. Never went to take out or opened when everyone else did. Web site is gone, but bizarrely the phone?s still connected, with the same COVID message stating they?ll reopen when it?s safe to do so. Was a great place. The 1 star is for the $100 gift card we have that they?ll obviously never honour.
I went here with a few colleagues to celebrate a one year anniversary and the food was great, service fantastic and atmosphere perfect. Our serving staff was kind enough to answer our questions about the menu and shared album and song information with my co-worker who loved the music. Looking forward to going back!
The jerk hen was really good. The only feedback is you should ask for the pricing on items that are not ok menu first to avoid surprise. We order a cauliflower crust pizza and a kids pasta which is just penna cheese and tomato sauce. The pizza was only 10 dollars but the pasta was 16.
Cozy and elegant place, friendly service and yummy food. Me and my date ordered The stuffed jalapenos for appetizers, then I ordered The duck breast for entree and we shared the dessert, which was The dark chocolate truffle brownie with home made icecream. The jalapenos were extremely delicious!! The duck breast was a little bit undercooked and I requested to get it cooked more, I got another piece of the meat with no fuss! And the dessert excellent. ?
The cosy rustic atmosphere is charming especially the lovely fireplace that divides the room. I wanted to try the restaurant through londionlicious thinking it would be a good opportunity with some price break. After comparing the londionlicious menu with the regular menu I discovered that there wasn't much of a break. Luckily the londionlicious options were off their regular menu so in that regard it was a good way to try their regular menu but at this price, might as well do it without the special event. As for the meal, my husband had the sushi tampura, which was mostly rice and barely there filling, and the falafel, which was flavorful. I had the butternut squash soup, which I found to be very filling and tasty and enjoyable. I also had the Seafood Linguine which was very flavorful and found the sauce to be light and complimentary to the seafood. Overall good experience but I did expect the food to be flavorful throughout as per the previous reviews.
We had a nice experience, but honestly didn't find the food to be exceptional for the price. I had the lobster and risotto and it was kind of a game of "find the meat hidden in the giant pile of risotto". His duck dish was beautifully presented and the meat was nice and tender but the dish didn't have a ton of flavor. The fish/poached egg and avocado toast was very impressive in presentation and my husband really enjoyed it. It was missing the pomegranate advertised with it in the menu which was sad for me because that's what made it seem appealing for me. They were apparently out of pomegranate but it would have been nice to be informed before we agreed to order it. Our waitress was kind but not overly attentive so we thought perhaps they were a bit understaffed last night or something. Anyway, overall a nice opportunity to try something new and we left satisfied, but we likely won't return.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion or just a night out. I took my wife here on our first date and now we keep on coming back. Good food but the ambiance could be improved. Interior and decor feels a bit dated. Every time we?ve been here the service has consistently been slow. Slow-ish service doesn?t really bother me that much it just gives us more time to talk but I?m sure this would bother others.
Server was friendly and recommended the crepe which turned out to be quite good. Would not recommend the calamari or butter milk fried chicken. The flavour of the chicken is too sweet for my taste and the meat was dry. The calamari flavour is unique but is overpriced for the portion.
