Today, was my second time ordering food from "Kipps Lane Fish & Chips" and it was absolutely disappointing. I had ordered the... "poutine deluxe" with extra gravy. First of all, the paper bag in which the paper food container was put in was too small andthe paper container was literally peeking out of the bag. Secondly, because the paper bag was too small for the paper foodcontainer, they had put the paper food container vertically in the bag and not horizontally as it should have been. This causedthe gravy to spill out from the right side of the paper container onto the thousands of layers of paper they wrap the paper foodcontainer with. What was the point of me asking for extra gravy for the poutine if it was just going to spill out from the papercontainer? The presentation was very messy. The gravy was also saltier than usual and the bacon was very chewy and not crispy atall. This was very disappointing and I'm considering not ordering from here ever again. Read more

Ordered the haddock fish and chips. The fish was very good and a good sized 5oz portion (definitely could not eat a second... piece); tasty batter and fresh fish! The fries were also good. I liked the size and shape, and was impressed how the fries werenot even remotely greasy. The tartar sauce was homemade and very good as well. Out of personal preference, my only feedbackwould be to have the fries with skin-on, be a little more crispy, and have more salt. Other reviews said long wait times but myfood took 15-20 minutes from order during an off-peak time. Also, the price was competitive and fair. There was also Shaw's icecream for sale by the scoop and baked good from Remark. Definitely will be coming here again and I recommend everyone try thefood here. Read more
The staff are great but the portions have shrunk. Now for $21.00 cod and chips you get a small one piece of fish and some fries... and a small gravy. Since my last visit the amount of fish has been halved. Disappointed and probably won?t return. Read more

I called ahead to order and was told it would take 30 minutes to prepare. I showed up 30 minutes later and was told it would be... ready in 4 minutes but I needed to wait in my car and the food would be brought to me. I provided the make and model of my car.I waited for 20 minutes and watched 3 other customers walk in and out with their meals, none of whom were asked to wait in theircar. This made me wonder if I was asked to wait in my car because of the colour of my skin. I decided to go back in to see wheremy meal was and it was still not ready. After finally receiving my food I was not impressed with the taste. Overall supperdisappointed with my experience and honestly won?t be returning anytime soon. Read more
