Grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. After 6 months in a BBQ desert in LA I found the best brisket IN LBG. A delight to my... senses. Good BBQ should draw you in from the aroma in the street with meat keeping you in your seat. I couldn't even get time toget up and get another napkin. The meat on the sandwich was a great mix of the lean and fatty. The bun, think it was brioche,was soft with a nice crispy toast around the edge. Probably cause they grilled it with butter? Don't know but was a perfecttouch. Then with a plentiful side of pickles, fresh onions, and jalepenos. If you get Q in TX and it don't come with these thengo elsewhere. I ordered the beans and found them hearty and tasty. I could live on them alone. They had a creamy texture alongwith a good bite. The atmosphere was great with shack like paneling and seating. Tried 3 tacos here. Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Fish. My favorite is the Brisket Taco, so so good! You don't need to put any sauce... on it at all, it's good just the way they serve it. We also got to try the queso or cheese dip and it hit the spot! What agreat appetizer. I cleaned the the little bowl that it was in bc it was so good. Definitely get that if you likecheese. I went here on Tuesday. I had their shrimp, brisket and chicken tacos. They were delicious but my favorite were the brisket... tacos. Their macaroni cheese was good as well and their French fries were very tasty. The reason for the 4 stars is because theyonly had tacos and the sides available. Any of the other dishes were not available. The cashier was very attentive and kind. Iwould go back next time Im in Long Beach. Read more

Took some friends out to dinner and passed this spot. Walking in the place smells amazing. Exactly like a BBQ join should. They... were only selling tacos for Taco Tuesday but the price was exceptional for the quality of the meats. The sides are delicious aswell. The hospitality really sold me over.
