Definitely not what it used to be. I’ve came here religiously for more than 10 years to order Gnocchi. It’s been hard for me... to find a delicious plate of this pasta in LA so I always came to La Piazza. Well this time around, it was not the same dishthat I love. They used to serve a soft textured aromatic plate, but what my family and I received was a chewy, cheese lessgnocchi. The service was also incredibly subpar. The inside restaurant was not too busy and there were enough servers workingthat day. As a former server, I know that drinks should be brought out before the meal. That didn’t happen. We didn’treceive them until about 10 minutes after we received our main plates. Our server only touched our table one time after and wewere already ready for the bill. Quite disappointing. Read more
Amazing food and great service! Also live music on Saturday night and that made the whole culinary experience ever better!... Ordered Brussel sprouts for starters and it was delicious. Had scampi pasta for main and it was best pasta I have ever had sofar. Others in our group took risottos and lasagna and those were so delicious too. Kids had spaghetti with butter and loved it.Save room for desserts! We ordered few and they were great and beautiful too! Loved the atmosphere! Live piano! Arrived half hour before closing and the staff was still extremely attentive. The bartender... was great at offering suggestions. Shrimp scampi and capri salad was our favorite. $20 cork fee. Parking was minimal, walkedalmost 3 blocks. Read more
