Usually a great place to get a true Italian style macchiato, my ?go to? coffee drink. Today at approximately 12:30pm I ordered... my typical oat milk macchiato. The female Barrista re-steamed old oat milk for my drink. The milk curdled against the side ofthe cup like chunky oatmeal or something. Sad to see this usually great coffee stop go down hill. There was only one othercustomer in the shop. She could have made a quality drink but she didn?t. ???? Read more

4 years ago, 5 stars 100%. Now (2022), feels run down and not the same quality as in the past. Stale croissant, not as busy and... bustling, generally lower quality and vibes. Also, are you kidding me? Panettone for $70? in this economy? Read more

We got the chocolate walnut cookie, monkey bread, yogurt cake and blueberry scone. I love how well mades these pastries are! The... cookie and cake were really butter and appropriately sweet. That one less star is for the scone, I like my scone to be more onthe bread- kind texture but this one was more moist more like a cake and not much blueberry flavor so mot my style. Otherwisegreat place in a beautiful neighborhood Read more

i?ve ordered here couple times now and tried few items to provide a real review. in my opinion their bread are the only 5-start... items, any kind of bread, baguette, levain loaf and whole wheat loaf, etc. the coffee is decent, but i haven?t got an art lattejust yet. my biggest disappointment is that they do not warm up anything, croissants, quiche, nothing? so it might be good as ato-go place, but if you want to enjoy a quick warm breakfast there, be aware it will be cold. i even put my fav croissant frommaison alyzee side by side for research tasting purposes ???? and hands down maison alyzee is much better now i know i willonly get bread here, it?s really good and tasty Read more

Have tried several times over past 3 years due to the hype. Definitely better than Safeway, and more consistent (no burnt... pastries here) than other farmers market patisserie/bakeries, like midwife and baker, sky, etc. but not necessarily better. Food is always very subjective, but sometimes their croissants look and taste more like Costco. Other times they are crisp andlight (see pics, I posted one of their good ones). The layers of the croissant are more viennoisserie, and not oily or greasylike some croissants can be. Plenty of almond cream on top and inside, but lacking in fresh almond flavor and aroma. More likea sweet pastry/custard cream than almond cream. Personal preference we just prefer a tighter diamond shape to this flat squarestyle. The Verve coffee to the side is pretty great in the mornings. In Los Altos, this would be my first choice for coffee. And given that we don't love Satura style pastries, first choice for pastries only if we can't make it up to SF. Have repeatedlytried all 3 types of croissants, the monkey bread, kouign amann, etc. and the breads depending on how well risen and baked theyare in any particular morning. Service is a bit spotty, with poorly trained staff who seem unhappy. One memorable morning, anemployee even told my husband that he was mistaken, they don't make almond croissants and in the history of Manresa, almondcroissants were never sold, not even once!
