I regret trying this place. Location is not good. It's a ghost kitchen in a liquor shop with little signage. No staff. They... provide 3 outdoor tables with no shade. Ordering is through an app, ChowNow. No staff. You have to create an account with theapp to dine in. After ordering, it gives you confirmation and an estimated ready time. That's it, it won't tell you when thefood is ready. You just go inside the liquor store where there is a table with paper bag sandwiches. Sandwich itself was nothot, who knows how long it's been sitting on the table. Sandwich is tiny, size of a flat hand. Ordered Jeff's Special. Rye breadwas tasty, but overpowered any flavor in the sandwich. Pastrami was a single slice, tasty but you wouldn't know it withoutpulling out a piece. I got no taste of sauce, and the vegetables were few with no flavor. Cheese had good flavor, but very dry.Bread was tasty but very oily, the oil was basically the lubricating sauce for the sandwich. Basically I would expect this outof a cheap cafe, not as a highly rated LA restaurant. I trust that their sandwiches might typically be good, but apparentlytheir lows are really really bad. The sandwiches were delicious! I will know to check the app to see if there is a no/ different mustard option if we go back.... Also, when we got there, we weren't familiar with the ordering process, and the man who spoke to us from behind the counter wasquite curt with us. It is located inside a liquor store, in the back, so perhaps we were interrupting his business? (There wereno other customers inside until after we asked) Orders are placed on a table up front to be picked up, so it is fairlycontactless. After the man spoke with us, curtly again when we came back to pick up our order and asked another question, weopted not to purchase any items in addition to our order, since we would have needed for him to ring them up. The sandwiches are very good. Even the ones I?ve had that weren?t my favorite were still very good & had unique combinations. If... I was only reviewing the food it would be a 4.5 stars. But the service is very off, and it feels like the are only friendly/accommodating to gentrifier types since I have seen the cashier smile & seem pleasant to others who fit that profile. Whenever Igo in he get a sneer on his face & I have had other friends of mine go in without me & heard the same thing back. Veryunfriendly and all around unpleasant. Amazing little shop - went with the Jeff special for my first time and can?t wait to go back to work my way through the list. In... addition to some great sandwiches they have a selection of sodas and beers, most of them being smaller companies! Can?t go wronghere. Read more

I?ve come to understand this place has good sandwiches, my contention is with the service. They only allow ordering ahead... through a specific app (only app they use) The app wouldn?t work despite multiple payment methods. We called to inquire aboutordering over the phone and explained the error the app was giving us. It turned out to be on the apps end but the person overthe phone said to try again in a few minutes and wouldn?t take any orders. We went to the place next door which was amazing. Read more
