Excellent well ran friendly Shabu Shabu hot pot resturant. High quality meats and veggies with organic options. Great place for... first timers or veterans ZZ more Japanese style than Chinese (you get hot water you flavor wirh various things if you want orkeep it simple to just enjoy the food you cook). Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan no problem. Can handle most allergy orfood intolerance issues. No reservations unless you want a table that seats four together, otherwise all counterseating. Restrooms. Parking lot out back, sometimes pay on the evenings. Another lot across street under brick building. Somemeter parking. Credit cards OK. Read more

After seeing this place closed for over a year it was nice to see the pots boiling around several tables, far apart from each... other. Service was very attentive- refilling our teas and making our dipping sauce (while other hotpot places have unreasonablyreturned to pre-covid stations of build-your-own condiment sauce mixes). Appreciated the fresh seasonal veggies and qualitymeats. Wish the broth could have been more than just kelp and water. Or add more broth options. Read more

Located right on the corner of Sawtelle and La Grange. Parking can be tricky to find, it's either street or there's a paid lot... on the other side of La Grange. The pros: Very nice and clean atmosphere. Mostly bar seating with a few tables scatteredthroughout, probably not ideal for large parties unless you don't mind being spread out. Staff is friendly and helpful. The foodis delicious. Probably some of the best cuts of beef I've had at a shabu shabu place. Rather than getting large portions of onetype, grab small plates of their variety and see what you like best! The cons most people may have: No flavored broth. Peoplewant their sodium and options. I personally didn't mind as it let me taste the different flavors of the meat better. The cost.Because of the smaller portions with a slightly higher price point I feel like the cost is a tiny bit on the high end. Itdefinitely means this will be more of an occasional dinner rather than a usual spot. Read more

This place has been in place for awhile now. It has been the first place I experienced the joys of Shabu Shabu dining. I still... hold it as a minimal standard for what this type of meal should entail. Granted just recently it has changed hands inmanagement the quality in ingredients have not suffered. Maybe the quantity a bit but the decor and process still holds true from way back. The place is minimalist stools and a wrap around food bar. It has one big event room for semi large party and acouple of tables. Just recently the menu has changed under the new management to include organic food items (still taste thesame) The brewed ponzu is a level above and the Goma sauce is the on point. Not sweet at all allowing the flavor of the meat toshine through. I tried the grass fed beef option (small, standard and large) The standard should get you through but if you wantyour grub on Large will do. Felix the cat is still hanging on the wall. Glad the new management left that well alone. :)Service is still good and friendly. I will miss however the lady that makes the dipping sauces to specification. Read more
