I don't know if I just got unlucky, but I don't know how anyone can say this is good. I got it as a food truck at the LA Auto... show and had the chicken sandwich, beef plate, beef sandwich, and garlic noodle bowl. Everything was just amazingly bland andlacked any kind of distinctive flavor that made it Indonesian other than the noodles. Heck it even lacked salt and sugar. Thebeef literally was unseasoned and tasted like me just cooking some beef at home with an instant pot with just a bit of soysauce. The chicken sandwich was no better than chick fil a but it cost $16. The fries were terribly dry like day old McDonald'sfries. And the Coco coffee honestly just sucked and tasted like coffee with spoiled sour milk in it. Worst of all it took 20minutes to order and another 25 minutes to get my food. I had the garlic shrimp noodles at 626 market and they were so good!! Shrimp cooked perfectly and so much flavor. I honestly... think it was my first time trying Indonesian and now I love Indonesian!!!!! Read more
I don't usually write reviews, but had StopBye Cafe for lunch today, and it was amazing. We ordered Beef RenDang Stew, Justin's... 18 Spice Chicken, jasmine rice, garlic fries, and iced Thai tea. Everything was amazing. I don't eat spicy food, but reallyenjoyed the RenDang stew. The stew comes with big chunks of tender + flavorful beef, and plenty of tofu and an egg. the 18 SpiceChicken "looked" dry when I first opened the container, but turned out to be amazing. It was a full of flavor and was alsoextremly tender. The truck was quite busy, so we were given a time slot to come pick up our food (they are in a designated foodtruck area in our neighborhood for the COVID food truck support), so we came back to grab out food 30 min later.
