Lovely place. Simple and authentic. Friendly service and great food!
This place is a real hidden gem! They?ve been here since 1940. If you are looking for a high end, snooty spot, this is NOT it.... This place transports you back in time where everything is cooked to order with love and attention. We lucked out this tripand caught it when it was pretty empty (filled up right after we were seated though). The food was wonderful! Sorry, Iwould?ve taken more pictures, but got caught up in eating! I got a side of wings added to my meal because they are just thatgood! No pomp and circumstance here, just good ole food with a flare of the past. Read more
Rice is dry and clumpy, eggs were boiled scrambled and the chops were under seasoned.....I would never again ..I have pictures

Been coming to TALS for 15 years PLUS but lately the food is so SLOW coming out it's MIND BLOWING... on THURSDAY DEC 1 around... 2pm we waited 1hour + for our food and it wasn't even that crowded... DEC 4 a SUNDAY people was waiting 2 HOURS SMH the cookswas looking inexperience and very unorganized... Lots of orders BUT no food on the grill being cooked..doing 1 ticket at a timeSMH very SLOW... People come here to EAT good food not to be frustrated over the time it takes to get your meal... PLEASE GETTHE WAITRESS SOME HELP she nice but older and she needs help.. service is everything... PLENTY of spots in the HOOD to get GRITSand WAFFLES without a 2hour wait... TALS will loose customers if they keep this up and NEW customers will NEVER return... PRICEINCREASE and LONG WAITS isn't a good combination... GO SEE FOR YOURSELF the NEW MANAGEMENT isn't ready the system in the TALSkitchen isn't working.... TALS PLEASE GET IT RIGHT ???? Read more
