First time to dine in and it was a million times better than the past time we have only just taken out. So so happy with this... spot, reminds me so much of my favorite malaxiangguo restaurant in Shanghai. If you love hotpot on a cold day, then dry hotpoton a warm day is just as perfect. Read more
Dry pot is amazing. Better than most restaurants I’ve tried in China in the past 26 years.
You pick your ingredients and the chef turns it into a hotpot for you, and you pay by the total weight of the ingredients. Neat... setup. The ingredients provided are of good quality, and the chef did a great job of turning our somewhat randomly picked itemsinto a very nice hotpot. I wonder what the wildest setup the chefs have had to do, like what if someone just asks for 3 poundsof bean sprouts to be turned into a hotpot? Read more
No greeting, no smile, no service, but still tips are required. We didn't get the table service at all. Whenever we need... something we had to call the lady working there or go to the counter. The flat thick noodles were way to undercooked. notchewable at all. So my husband almost chocked himself and had to spit out the noodles didn't want to kill himself. But theynever checked how we were doing or how food was. So I had to call the lady working there to tell her the situation. What shesaid it is way it is because the noodles are thick. What I don't understand is if the noodles are thick they should cook thenoodles little longer than regular other noodles so noodles can be fully cooked. Anyways she cooked the dish again for us. Ofcourse, noodles were better but other food is overcooked now. Haha. They never checked us again and didn't care about us, we hadto go the counter so we can get the check and the box for the leftover. They didn't bring us the machine to pay so had to go tothe counter again. We were kinda upset that we got no table service, decided not to give tips. And the transaction didn't gothrough! Frustration. Tried twice. Same thing. So I left tips and it went though. What the hack. If you don't leave a tip youcan't pay! The tip is not a option but must.
