We went to Zeidler's at the Skirball after a fun visit to the "I'll Have What She's Having" Jewish deli exhibit. We wondered,... considering the unique nature of the exhibit, if they'd use the chance to offer some classic deli dishes in conjunction with it.Sure enough they did. There was a whole separate menu of deli offerings including some delicious vegetarian options. I reallyloved the Mrs. Goldfarb's vegan Corned Beef sandwich. I also got on order of the Potato, Kale and Carmelized Onion Knish...Thesandwich filled me up so I took these home and they were, for sure, among the best knishes I had (not to mentionvegetarian) Also for us vegetarians (though we didn't have them this time) are Matzo Ball Soup and cheese blintzes. (Notmention their entire regular menu is also available which has tons of vegan and vegetarian items as well as gluten free options(including an Impossible burger which my son had, and a vegan broccoli soup which my wife had and which was super flavorful. Tobe a Jew is to eat. Like our ancestors before us ate. Zeidler's is the perfect place to get elevated deli food (while theexhibit is still happening) after or during a visit to the Skirball. (and maybe even as a destination on its own.) Read more
