Good service, great bread, we had a stuffed mushroom appetizer which was good, she had a tomato basil caprese pasta and that was... good, I had a chicken Marsala which “came out”the same way it looked when I got it. There wasn’t any garlic, shallots, mushrooms, nor could I taste the wine that is supposed to be in it. The sauce was brown and looked like a gravy you’d get outof a packet. If you do go, I strongly urge to not order the Marsala. Read more

Terrific food! Solid wine list, and some very nice specialty drinks. Relaxed family friendly atmosphere but nice enough for a... date night. Our only minor complaints were the lack of parking, we had to park several blocks away, and service was a bitslow. Servers were very friendly but appeared to be short handed. As to the food, the bruschetta was different but excellent. Likewise, with the caprese pasta and shrimp. The veal marsala was exceptional, probably the best we have ever had. An allaround great experience. Read more

We had 5:30 reservations for 6 at DiFabio’s Casapela on Saturday August 6, prior to the play “Anastasia “ at the Center... for the Arts. The food was good as usual and our server was doing a nice job, even though the kitchen was a little slow duemost likely to the restaurant beginning to fill. As we were nearing completion of our meal, the server told us that the nextgroup with reservations for our table was waiting to be seated. We were only there for 90 minutes and we’re almost finished, even though the kitchen had been slow in getting out our appetizers and main courses. We were a bit shocked that our serverwould basically ask us to leave. We didn’t make reservations for that table, we made reservations for six people. If theywant to turn over their tables faster, they need to get the food out quicker. However; I would think that 90 minutes is not along time for six people having wine, appetizers and a main course, especially in light of a slow kitchen. We still likeDiFabio’s and are likely to return, but this young gentleman server needs to learn from this experience. His tips would havebeen twice as much if he had not been so discourteous. My husband and I were hungry for Italian and there was a fancy expensive place across the street, but it was full. Thankfully,... we went here instead. The service was personable and attentive. It was small, but cute and cozy. I loved sitting by a bookshelfand could just pull books off to browse. The food was beyond our expectations. Gemelli pasta with tomatoes, basil and mozerellaballs was paired with delicious perfectly grilled shrimp. I had lasagna. It was perfect and I could only eat half. Even thehouse salad was special with red wine vinegar house dressing. Oh, and perfect calamari with two dipping sauces. Just try it! Somany good options! Read more

Great new family spot for my sons and I. Introduced my 13 year old to Calamari and now he is addicted. All of our entrées were... good. We chose lasagna, Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Parmigiana. Read more
