They booked another party over our rehearsal dinner without ever contacting us. We found out 3 weeks before the wedding when we... called to set the menu. Read more
Atmosphere is relaxed, warm lighting and super comfy worn in sofas. It looks like a classic middle of the century cigar bar by... decor. When you pull up you will be “stared down” by the regulars who frequent the front patio area and smoke cigars. Uponentry, expect a general welcome and reasonably quick seating. Our waitress was average, trending slightly less than averagewith attentiveness and knowledge of menu items. The burgers are nothing noteworthy, but are made with a quality (low fat%)chuck. No seasoning on the meat to give the burger character. Kudos to the excellent fresh cut fries and the careful cook onthem with new oil. The shrimp and grits are a a dish compiled of again, unseasoned but properly cooked shrimp with very tastysausage quartered on top of slightly watery grits. The drinks are on the light side with a lot of emphasis on mixers leaningslightly too sweet on dry intentioned drinks. The wrap up was slightly delayed with waiting for the waitress so we can get ourcheck, noticed the waitress put the checkbook down in the table while our hand was outstretched to receive it. Ambiance isnice, service is mediocre and food is average. Use your judgement when considering what important to you if considering thisspot for a dinner. Enjoy and Eat Life! Read more
I was a bit uncertain about this when we first arrived but the food was exceptionally good. Really enjoyed the meal and ended... the evening with a delicious bourbon. Then to top it off the bartender generously provided some special high end samples ofwhiskey. That was the icing on the cake. It was alright but we were expecting a lot better. For starters, it was warm and a bit muggy inside the restaurant, we were... sweating. The food was meh, not anything to rave about. The mashed potatoes were hard and bland. The chocolate cake was verydry and did not taste freshly made. The server was not attentive to us. Overall the experience and food was just okay.
