What a nice surprise to find seafood this good in Louisville, KY! Our first experience there but it won't be our last. One... tropical frozen drink and you'll think you're on vacation. The grouper was excellent, the shrimp was great and there was plentyof it to go home with us. Can't wait to come back for the New Zealand mussels and crab legs. The relaxed, retro beach houseatmosphere made it fun (and I'm sure much of the clientele has been visiting since they opened 30+ years ago). I ordered a crab cake po boy. It tasted like imitation crab but there was hardly any crab in it. It tasted more like a breaded... sandwich. The server was so bad that we had other servers bring out our food and refill our drinks. We waited so long for thebill and for her to come back to take the check that we had to go get other people to get her to get our check. We ordered Fresh oysters and crab for the whole family. Should of known better to order seafood in a place like this . Oysters... had half the shells in small pieces inside them , the Crab was cold like it was sitting out for an hour ... Over boiled and hadzero flavor . Stay away from any of the sea food. Just went there as a party of 6 to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. Max was our server and could not have been more efficient,... personable, kind, and attentive (but not too attentive in an intrusive way) Food was served hot and quickly and portions weregenerous and everything tasted great. Best grilled grouper I've ever had, and I just got back from Destin Florida so I know my grouper. It wasn't dry at all. The... seafood gumbo was delicious, but I would rather of had shrimp and fish in it than the crawlfish and sausage. The crab legs weregreat, never had a bad bite. The fried oyster basket was good.
