My husband and I had a small intimate wedding in the farmhouse back in July. Our guest was no more than 30 people and originally... it was supposed to all be outside, but with rain we had to move the reception inside. I was a little worried regarding the spaceinside but Melissa, the event coordinator, helped me envisioned that it was doable! The room upstairs was a great bridal suiteand the men took the room downstairs which we added tables and chairs for them. The ceremony still took place outside rightbefore the rain hit and it was beautiful. We were able to decorate how we wanted outside and it truly turned out amazing. Insidewe had a long table running down the sunroom and a big square table in the main area. Once food was done, we packed up thesquare table and turned it into our little dancing area. We did not cater full entrees but did order several small bites and hadan open bar with drinks pre selected (we did not do wine). Our guests LOVED the drinks and cared more about that than food. Ifmore food was needed later in the night, Melissa would organize to have it sent over from the main barn. Overall, the Flying Acestaff was amazing and our small wedding turned out to be better than expected, that we even added in an extra hour because ourguest were having such a fun time. The communication was great throughout the entire time and we still get told what an amazingwedding it was. Flying ace is definitely a memorable place for us! Read more

Great place with a very good selection of beers to fit lots of flavor profiles. The black bean burger and nachos were excellent.... There is a playground for kids that isn't too far so you can still hear the love music. Lots of open space for kids just to runaround also. The 21+ loft area is great for those without kids. My friends and went to the Monks BBQ Pig Roast event that they had on Sunday 7/3. And we had a fantastic time! The food was so... fresh and excellent from Monks BBQ, we ate till we were good and stuffed. My Pal Eric who is a Gulf War Vet, got his first beerfor free, that was pretty awesome.. All the brews were fairly descent, alcohol % were kind of low, which I'm shocked aboutbecause they distill high level Whiskey & Bourbon right next door! We really preferred their ciders the most. Flying ace hadplenty of seating inside and out and it is a really lovely property. We even went next door to check out their Bourbon andWhiskey distillery.. But IT WAS SOO EXPENSIVE... $18 - $25 per drink is pretty outrageous.. If they ever lower the prices a tadover there I'd like to come back and try some bourbon & whiskey. I'd definitely come back for the beer & cider and the food.. Read more

Very very neat place... I would highly recommend stopping in and checking them out. The food is pretty good, and the drinks... are WAY BETTER!!! They have 2 different sides as VA has some strange laws about drinking Beer and Liquor in the same area??? Once you move past that you will be really surprised at what is inside. The beer side has some great choices, and even a fewgreat sours... They need to get into the heavily fruited sours, and thick smoothie sours though!!! Come on Flying Ace!!! Thedistillery is a great spot!! The drinks are all made with fresh ingredients, and boy are they all delicious. TheWhiskey/Bourbon is really good, and they infuse and wash their own stuff. They do a hell of a job!! I will be back soon, andyou should stop in!!! Read more
