We came in and was greeted.. asked for a self guided flight.. asked to take a seat and would be with us.. We waited 20 minutes?... while other people came in? were served.. and we sat there waiting? at the bar? very inattentive .. could not believe how otheremployees saw us seating there and nothing.. we have been to a lot of wineries all over ? never been treated this way. The tasting room experience was the worst I?ve experienced in more than 100 different winery tastings. Let me be fair. Llano... Estacado produces some excellent Texas wines. I?ve been drinking their wines since moving back to Texas earlier this year. Idrove two hours up from Abilene with my business partner, who is also a wine professional, to see the winery in person and totry some of their other wines that I can?t buy at my local grocery store because I?ve been impressed with what I had tried sofar. Back to the tasting. The facilities are nicely kept and present well upon entry. We sat down at the tasting bar andwaited for one of the young staff members to notice us. The tasting room was no busier than any other you?re likely to visit ona Saturday afternoon, and there were plenty of employees, so I don?t except such excuses as, ?we were understaffed and verybusy.? The tasting workflow process from the business and employee perspective was non-existent. There was no direction, noassignment of customer responsibility, and it was difficult to see who was in charge or who was directing the customer serviceefforts. Our tasting was 6, 1oz pours of whites and reds. The tasting took over an hour, and during that time we sat for 40minutes with empty glasses in front of us. There was one young man, John, who was the only bright spot of the day and actuallytalked to us about some of the wines. He wasn?t even the employee who initially took our order or poured our first glasses. The other employees pretended not to notice us while they serviced their college friends instead. I intended to take home acouple of cases of wine and join their wine club, but I bought nothing and instead went across town to the McPherson Cellars. Ihad never had any of their wines before, but had a great tasting, a great customer service experience and took home 7 bottles ofwine and joined their wine club. This is a perfect venue for a wedding! It was amazing! Shout out to Matt for all of his help! He was always quick to respond to... emails as we had questions. My daughter had an indoor wedding and then the room was flipped for the dinner and reception. Thank you for such a great experience! We highly recommend this venue! Read more

This was the perfect wedding venue! Matt, the event planner, was amazing. He communicated well and did an amazing job setting up... for the ceremony and flipping the room for the reception. The bridal suite was perfect to get ready in. The light fixtures inthe event room are beautiful. I loved every minute of my wedding in this beautiful venue and it is very affordable.
