Great experience. If you love wine it's a great place to visit. The waiter was very knowledgeable on the wines and was on hand... whenever we needed anything. The food was delicious, they have a good variety. Don't let the name fool you, the place is quitefancy, prices are pretty fair. Nothing too pricey in my opinion. Definitely visit with friends, plan on tasting some of thewines from their vast menu, and enjoy Read more

No reservation and they sat me right away. I would recommend reservations as I was seated in the middle of the upstairs where... many people walk by, ergo loud and no privacy. Fried pickles tasted fresh and not lost in grease. Pecan Old Fashioned waslacking flavor and texture despite the menu description. Could not finish due too excessive bourbon. The flavor profile forthis classic was severely lacking. Use of cube ice was a plus. Ginger cider seemed heavier than other similar brews. Lexi wasattentive and engaged, she accommodated my request for a bed of greens rather than the bun , etc. The jalapeño burger came onvery little greens and Lexi quickly corrected this and brought a very good portion of arugula and spring mix. Burger itself hadvery good flavor despite being overly salty. Medium rare cook on burger was excellent. I would recommend you take your chancesand hope they continue to improve the subtleties and nuances of the menu that would make it above average. Finally, if acustomer leaves an almost full drink I think it would warrant an inquiry and an effort to remedy or remove the drink from theticket. The old fashioned was not worth $14.00. Read more

I love it for the great food and special vibes, not to mention that the place is beautiful. Considering all those reasons I... picked this spot not only to offer dinner for my family and friends in my wedding day, but some of my photos were takenhere. All guests were happy about the food and the service even the ones with dietary restrictions and vegetarianpreferences. Me and my husband received an outstanding customer service from the staff all the time, they made lots of cutedetails for us, in our special day that we didn't even consider. We have been going there every year to celebrate ouranniversary, it is always the best of the best here in Lubbock. It is a fine place that you really have to try if you areliving here or if you are visiting Lubbock city. Here are some of the photos from our wedding that was in 2020! Thanks Funkydoor staff! ???? My son picked this place for his graduation celebration from college. Although it is a bit pricy, we decided to go here because... that is what he wanted and it was a special day. The place is very nicely decorated, and it is also 2 story. The staff wasfriendly but our waiter did not listen to our requests. He did not bring out certain things we asked for. He did not come to ourtable and ask how our meal was and did not come to our table very many times for refills. They were not crowded at all sothere was no excuse for anything. The fondue was delicious, although it was cold and never got hot. The salmon was good, aswell as the lobster mac- n- cheese . But the other meals were horrible. The chicken dish that was ordered came out super welldone and so dry it could barely be swallowed and it was a little charred as well. We asked for balsamic on the side as well asasked for extra sauce, in which he brought out Tabasco sauce! The chicken breast had also been sliced in half so that it wasmade into 2 servings. One half on one meal and the other half for the other meal. Super tiny and thin. The other dish we orderedwas fish, which we asked if we could split and he said it would cost extra to split it and that they couldn't split the fish, only the sides. Lol. SERIOUSLY?!?! The fish dish we ordered was so rubbery that if you picked it up and threw it, it wouldsill be in one piece . I could barely cut it with a knife! And it was so awful that I couldn't even eat it. I did not want tosay anything a the table because it was a large group of people and I didn't want to embarrass my son in front of hisgirlfriend and best friend. And we had a 9 hour drive to get back home. So I went to the bathroom and then asked to speak withthe manager and told her the situation. She was not compassionate nor sorrowful about the meal and only made excuses for thecondition of the food. I told her that they should not even have sent out food in that condition in the Read more

Love the decor in this place. The evening we dined in, there was a live band. Great music but it was a bit loud so we had a hard... time carrying on a conversation and there wasn't any seating that wasn't right in front of the stage. The food was good. Ireally loved the fondue. We ordered the Funky Door and added beef tips. Very good and unique as you cannot find that mostplaces. My mom ordered a salad with chicken. It was good but I felt $27.00 a bit too pricey for a salad. Read more
