Great place, and great food. The staff was wonderful, drinks were stiff but not enough to kill yeah. The area and vibe of the... bar was really cool and I enjoyed my time there. Would recommend and I will definitely stop by the next time I'm up. Read more
Dog friendly patio and staff! Got the papa's burger it was delicious, juicy burger with melty cheesy and flavorful bacon! Not one to leave negative feedback but I just feel customers should be aware. It was clear our waiter is very new and still... learning. We waited for service during all phases of our meal. After the meal we had to send the kids back to the hotel becauseno one would bring us a bill. I even stood up for 10 minutes. Then just went to the bar to pay. From start to finish we were otherwise unimpressed. Starting with slow greeting to being addressed as "ladies" (male & female... couple) not once but twice. The food was not much better than the service. A burger with onions that had to have gone bad a weekprior. Online reviews boasted great sweet potato fries, so naturally I ordered them. The waiter confirmed then brought out oversalted potato rounds. Our order of fish was tolerable but again the fries were overly salted as well. Topped off with a $70.00bill. Superb Patio view of the mountain! Pizza and kids meals were great, however the menu was limited to those options for some... reason. We enjoyed a local beer from Grand Marais, and Wine from North Shore Winery which both were stellar. We even saw asmall patch of snow in the middle of June! Great stop on our trip!! Read more
For an appetizer we ordered the Walleye Sliders. Pretty good! Wife had the Papa Burger. I had the North Shore Melt. The melt... was extremely thin, for reference see the photo, it was not much thicker than the thickness of a french fry. I think this shouldbe on the 'lite' section of the menu.
