I'm usually not in awe when it comes to customer service these days, BUT!!!! I was recently diagnosed with severe allergies and... had to stop eating out this year. I normally pack, but sometimes I'm rushed. I went to the subway on Memorial Ave and let thelady about to take my order know I have severe allergies. She immediately changed her gloves and wiped the counter down andchanged out the knife they were using. If a worker tried to take over going down the line adding things, she make sure theychanged their gloves and tell them about my allergies.To say I was SUPER impressed is an understatement. There is 1 worker that is so sweet and outgoing. Makes jokes with customers. So so friendly. I went in Fri night?i think abt 30... minutes be4 closing. I hate doing that to hard working, under payed, under appreciated, ?fast food? workers. I hate to thinkthat they have to dirty up an area that they probably just cleaned in order to make my order. As he was making my order, 4 morepeople came in. He greeted them like old friends, berating them kindly for coming in so late when it was so close for him to gohome. He made my sandwiches perfectly, as he does every time. I always tip Subway workers well. I mean they are literally 4 ftfrom me, making a meal for my sons and hubby so I don?t have to!! Lol. Just wanted to let it be known that this branch onmemorial is very warm & welcoming. BTW..I?ve noticed that if he?s not with a customer, he?s sweeping up the store. He keeps itclean! I?ve asked his name a million times, but he?s a jokester, so i don?t which name is his actual one..LMAO. He is black,light skinned, has a perma-smile, and not all that tall. The service was great late night. If you intend on going to this subway considering they don't close until midnight on Saturday... I would wait to go until anytime after 10pm. The ONLY real issue I can see as a problem potentially for a few people is the factthat they are VERY BIG ABOUT ACCEPTS TIPS FOR THE NIGHT TIME EMPLOYEES which is not usual at a restaurant like this.
