I found this sweet restaurant on Instagram and stopped by after dropping off artwork for a juried show at the Jansen Art Center.... The Turkey Sandwich was excellent, stuffed with wonderful protein and vegies on the best bread ever! The Butternut Squash Soupwas the best I have had in a long time. Thank you to the sweet team member who sent a cinnamon role home with me as atreat...it made a fabulous breakfast with coffee this morning. I'll be looking forward to my next meander into Lynden and willstop by again. PS. LOVED the local artwork on the wall too...thanks for supporting local artists! Read more
Completely ignored us. My wife and I stood in front of the cashier for a good 5-10 minutes she never once looked up and... acknowledged us. We finally commented that we?re going to leave as we could not get service and she still completely ignoredus. We won?t be back. Read more

I was in Lynden attending a silversmithing workshop. I knew I would likely not have a chance to have a meal break so I had a... second breakfast at The Avenue Bread cafe. While it was a smaller breakfast, it hit the spot and kept me going for over 5hours. Their freshly baked multigrain was fantastic, the eggs perfectly soft poached and the ham was thick and tasty (not overlysalty like some places serve). Coffee was pretty good too!
