Great food. Great service. Huge portions.
We had dinner here this past weekend. Hubbie wanted BBQ, we were not disappointed. He had the ribs/brisket combo, and I had the... rib dinner. Wow, everything was whisked to our table in jig time, and was utterly delish. You pick 2 sides to go with your meal,plus a chunk of moist, yummy cornbread. Great atmosphere, was quiet early Saturday evening. Clean, comfortable, and fantastic family service. Food came out quick, even... for the place being slow at the time. Prices are hard to beat. Know in advance that it is a very limited menu, with limitedhours, but understand this is a small family who also has other jobs. Seems like they do this more for the fun of it, than as ajob. Nice change of pace. The flavors in the brisket could be emphasized a little more, the pulled pork was good, and the ribshad a uniqueness well worth a try at least once. Sides are good, desserts are tasty. Definitely a nice sidestep away from thenorm in the Newark/Lyons area. Read more
Ambience was nice. One of the chicken plates was undercooked, but was happily able to change it out. Brisket was dry and not... seasoned, ribs were decent. Mac and cheese was really good. For the price, it was a decent night out, but with this dubiousquality of food I can see why it isn't very busy on a Saturday night. Read more
