Oh my goodness. This bar rocks. Only real dive bar in town. Only bar open year round. Our bartender Marty was knowledgeable,... friendly, outgoing, and all around great. We ordered the wings. He heard I liked hot sauce. We order wings and cheese dip. Heprocured 12 hot sauces he brought to the bar himself and set them up for me in order from hottest on down and gave me a briefingon all of them. The beer was great. The food was great. Mediocre. It wasn't very busy inside but the older gentleman at the door couldn't decide whether he could seat us or not. There... were 6 of us, 3 adults 3 children. Of course way over priced but I didn't expect much being on the island really. They addgratuity automatically once you are a party of 6. I have no problem with resort island prices if the food is good and serviceare worth it. The food is at best mediocre. I gave you 3 stars because your waitress was amazing and friendly and the food camequick. Being the middle of July, and I would think the peak of the season for you, there were a lot of empty tables. So I wassurprised when "Richard" wasn't sure he could even seat us as we were a party of 6 with kids. (10, 12 and 14 who ate off yourregular menu) Good to know that, as they don't spend much but take up room, that is a bigger concern for you. Read more
This is a must stop if visiting Mackinac Island. Good food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They do charge more if using a... card over cash. It?s not too much more but makes it hard to swallow since, like anywhere else on the island, the menu is a bitpricey. Read more
