Amazing! I ate at Melly Mel?s when they had a storefront in 2012 when I was visiting from Iowa and never stopped thinking about... it. Fast forward to today, I knew she was only doing catering, but a few weeks ago I reached out to her and asked if she wouldlet me order a feast for my new husband and I to enjoy in our hotel room while in town for our honeymoon, and she kindlyobliged. Carmell is so kind and I wish her the best in everything she does. Her food is incredible and you can really tasteall the love she puts into what she does. Carmell catered our wedding, and it was the best wedding food I've ever had in my life. We had fried perch, fried and baked... chicken, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cabbage & kale, coleslaw, and cornbread. The guests won't shut up about how good it was.She even made the sweet potato pie that we had for dessert instead of cake. 100% recommend her catering for your next event. I freaked out when I saw Melly Mel's was permanently closed, but then I read on FB that they will be opening in a new location... soon. Thank god. This place is great. The location was out of the way, but worth it. Read more
