This steakhouse reminded me of restaurants in much larger cities than Madison. The service was top notch and the view of the... lake was superb. The menu was varied and the prices were reasonable. This is the best restaurant I've been to in Madison for aromantic dinner. Additionally, parking was conveniently located across the street from the restaurant in an underground garage.Parking was validated. Read more
Beautiful setting overlooking the lake on the patio. All the food was excellent (I had the 'delicate' pasta in a gorganzola... garlic cream sauce) with the exception of the octopus appetizer, which was overcooked. Definitely worth trying again. Read more
I am in love with the view at The Statehouse — best view of the lake in Madison is at the Edgewater hotel! Get ready for a... wonderful fine dining experience at the Statehouse, the best place to take visiting friends and family. We went there for mybirthday dinner and throughly enjoyed the experience. The service, ambience, and food was a 10/10. The menu options are greatand we loved all the dishes we ordered. We started with the chicken wings, truffle fries, and Wild Mushroom Bruschetta. Each ofthe appetizers were delicious. For main course we had the lamb rack, seared salmon and garganelli pasta. The lamb was perfectlycooked. The salmon was seared so well and the sauce was tasty. For desserts we had the cookie skillet and that was gone inseconds. The mango panna cotta was so light and refreshing, and last but not the the least the chocolate cookie cake was justwow. My husband and I went as part of his birthday celebration; and I couldn't say enough about this place. Staring from the view,... food and service provided. Jasmin B was our server for the night, and she was wonderful. She knew her stuff and was veryattentive and pleasant. Atmosphere & the view was great. We ordered a raspberry mojito that was delicious. The food was wellprepared, filled with flavor, cooked as ordered, and presented well. Would definitely recommend the spanish octopus, the tacos,and mushroom muchetta & lamb.The staff at the front was courteous and provided a positive experience as well. We will definitelybe returning.
