My husband & I are new to the area, & wanted to ck this restaurant out based on reviews. We called on a Saturday evening to see if they had out door dining. They did & offered to save us a table. It was after 7 when we arrived. Had we known "outdoor " seating was comprised of a few tables outside front of restaurant in parking lot we would have passed. I didn't have the heart to bail, being he ( never introduced himself) was so friendly on the phone. There were only 2 couples seated inside, getting ready to leave. Our small table was literally right outside restaurant window. I must have been sitting near an exhaust fan because I was feeling blasts of warm air, & getting strong wifts of a greasy unpleasant odor. Waiter who we later found was the owner, suggested the Tom Kha Gai soup which my husband enjoyed. I had the tofu soup. Awful! I asked for soy, which was low sodium, so didn't help. I added a slice of lime from my soda, and still 0 flavor. I only ate tofu, & some noodles, & pretty much left it all. The portions are fitting of prices. My husband had Pad See Ew, which he enjoyed. I had Thai namite shrimp. It was "o.k". The owner, & waitress were very friendly! A gentleman kept coming out walking by us on SEVERAL occasions. Perhaps going to back of building to sneak a smoke? Who knows! I'd say he walked past us at least 6 times, if not more. Never even looked at us. We were curious so we asked waiter if that was the owner? It was then that he admitted he was actually the owner, & that man was the chef & his dad. We found his behavior oddly uncordial. If you can't be polite, then stay in the kitchen. Again owner was very pleasant. Food wasn't anything special, & place gave us a strange vibe. So we'll stick with our regular Thai restaurant in Carmel.
Easily the best restaurant in the area for MILES. You MUST try their Tom Kha Gai and Larb Salad. Also, their Pad Kee Mao will blow your socks off - make sure to get it Thai Spicy! The food is consistently amazing. If they partnered with a food delivery service, I'd be the happiest person in the world. Thank you so much Let's Have Thai for standing out and always providing exemplary service.
We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant on a whim after a day out on the lake and it did not disappoint! A+ service, scrumptious food, 100 vegan options including Thai iced tea which I haven?t had in years, all at the sweetest family-owned establishment. Two of us are vegan, two are not. As soon as we sat down, we were offered the flexibility to order almost everything on the entire menu with a vegan preparation. I would give 5 * alone for the variety of options alone! We were given rice crackers with a delicious peanut sauce and spring rolls to start, and we ordered a crispy tofu appetizer in addition. For entrees, they had mock duck although it wasn?t advertised on the menu, and it was the right choice of protein for both the pad see ew and basil fried rice we ordered. A delicious Thai iced tea with coconut milk rounded out our meal. It was just what we needed to replenish our energy after a day out on the lake. Cannot express enough how happy we are to have found this restaurant randomly yesterday. If you like Thai food, run, don?t walk, to try them out!
So I wasn?t planning on coming here but the Thai place near my house was closed so thought I would try a new place even though it?s 25 mins away? and WAS NOT DISSAPPOINTED!! The pad Thai was amazing. So much better, I hate to compare but much better than bangkok spice in Yorktown. I will be making the trip here from now on for Thai food. It?s worth it! (:
The service is very chill and recommends great stuff if you're not sure what to pick. Food is good and well-presented and the atmosphere is calm, with some nice music selection in the background. Good prices too! I recommend visiting.
We found our new favorite Thai restaurant. Came here one evening to give it a try and we are glad we did! The staff was extremely attentive and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Nice little restaurant. Tasty foods. Great service. Will be back!
Another Local Spot on the Rise when it comes to Thai Cusine! Mahopac now its own Thai restaurant to call its own. From lunch specials, amazing dinner options and heck, if you need a night cap with a nice signature cocktail or an ice cold beer, this place is for you! Small & comfortable spot. Great to dine in or get lunch takeout. The portions are VERY filling. You may even take some home with you & the prices are affordable. The best part: They are very accommodating and they can turn up the spice level for you or give you vegetarian options. Just ask. Definitely recommend for lunch and to dine in and have a beer. #win
