The chicken was AWESOME and the sides were pretty good. I was disappointed on the biscuits! Stale, old. Tasted like they... bought them from dollar general. Service was pretty good. All you can eat is always a plus! the area is beautiful. Read more

I loved ambience of this hotel restaurant. However the service and food did not exceed expectations. We ate there on the Tuesday... before Thanksgiving and granted it may have been a bit slow. We had the prime rib and the all you can eat chicken dinner with anappetizer of portabella mushrooms. I felt the breading on the fried chicken and mushrooms were just a bit too much breading anda little dry and lacking flavor. The portion size was large. The prime rib did taste good and had a unique flavor a little morelike a well seasoned stake than the traditional rub of prime rib. I would go back for the prime rib but think that I wouldprefer a bit more herb flavoring in the chicken to try it again. The seating area in the room is odd. Its a large open room, sort of conference style. They had the left side of the room set up with 4 tops and bunched everyone in together. The right sideof the room had long tables that could accommodate parties of 12 or more. This would work well for Christmas parties or Familygathering. The sign said seat yourself, but the room did not amend itself to the customer 'selecting' the seat for themselvessince the way they had the room parsed off made for unusual presentation of the seating choice. Server was good however, onestaff was a bit bothered by the fact that we wanted to sit away from the group and take in the room ambiance despite only 15 orso people seated in a room that could hold probably 150 to 200. I would go back and give it another try. It's best feature isthe location to the Giant City State Park trails and camping. Read more

We stopped in after a full day of hiking for a late lunch, 4pm. We had the combination appetizer, pulled chicken sandwich with... sweet potato fries, & the Southern fish dinner with mac n' cheese & dumplings. The food was all served hot & quickly. I wouldrecommend giving them a try. Read more

We came for lunch on 9/17 and were seated with the rest of those eating lunch. I am fighting brain cancer and just can?t... handle noise very well. My husband asked our waiter if we could find someone where with less noise. What a great guy andmanagement!!!! They did some rearranging and acted like it was no big deal. For me it was a HUGE deal as it allowed me to stayand eat. I would recommend the food and the service to everyone! Thanks so much! Read more
