Delicious ice cream! Portions are huge! Service was fast.

When homemade ice cream actually seems homemade it's a real pleasure to gobble some down on a warm summer night, feeling the... molten icecream run down your hand and forearm while taking chunks of the coffee-with-nut-sprinkles-cone. Where to begin... the ice cream is home made, and it shows in the taste and mouth feel. Creamy, delicious and in a variety of... familiar and new favors. Inasmuch as I loved the variety and quality of the ice cream, I loved the portions more. Seriously, akiddie sized portion would be enough for a hungry adult. I think for the price, the portions are beyond generous. But myfavorite aspect of Captain Dusty's is the service. The 3 people behind the counter were friendly, courteous and accommodating ina way that totally made our experience. A young man brought us wet wipes, without being asked, so we could clean up a bit. Oneof the employees also struck up a conversation with my wife and daughter, and it made it feel like the kind of place you wouldreturn to again and again - where you are remembered as a customer, and appreciated. Manchester-by-the-Sea has become ourfavorite New England seaside town, and Captain Dusty's is a major contributor to that sentiment. 100/10. It's that good. Read more
