Menu for Bourré Restaurant in Mandeville, LA

This is only my 3rd time dining at the establishment.  First time was on a Sunday morning, approximately 2 months ago, just at... opening time.  The place had a small group in the back that other waitresses and waiters were catering to.  The rest of therestaurant was empty except for one other older couple.  The staff clothing was inappropriately tight. The Mimosas, in myopinion, was more like a low cost champagne with a dab of oj which left us with more of a headache than a buzz.  This is whereyou begin to understand the phrase, "you get what you pay for" since the Mimosas are $2.00 per glass.  The food was decenthowever it took forever to come out when it finally arrived on our (my date and I) 3rd Mimosa. At this point in time we weren'treally in the eating frenzy anymore.  Took a while for the staff to check on us and, remember, the restaurant was empty exceptfor the one older couple.  This visit deserved a 2 star of 5. I am a believer of the 3 strike rule.  Therefore the second timeI visited the restaurant was lunch time during the week.  The burger(s) were great yet the food still took longer than usual tocome out.  Restaurant was not crowded at all (not half full).  Once again refills came slow and, once again, the waitressesdressed a bit inappropriate.   If my girlfriend was with me this time, it would have been very uncomfortable with the staffwalking around with tight leggings glued to them in a family place.  My guest and I almost thought we were in a gentlemen club. This particular visit deserved a 3 star of 5. My latest visit in late April, once again, on a Sunday morning, the restaurantwas empty, the hostess didn't really seem to care as she never came from behind the podium and simply said "sit wherever youwould like".  We found a seat and, once again, while in the seated position it is very easy to see the waist level of a person(I'm trying to keep this decent).  The pants/leggings were much too body forming with no top to cover the buttock Read more

The food is wonderful. We had the veal chop, steak and crab cake, and shrimp scampi. In addition the chicken and waffle app... and charbroiled oysters. We checked the menu online before we went and it showed kids eat free on Thursday. So, we of coursehad our kids. The waiter said it was an old menu and they didn't honor it. I told him it is on your website. The manager didhonor the free kids meals about $6 each. The waiter was alone. He did alot of running around between tables. Getting out asfar as the bill and left overs boxed took a while. Not his fault. THAT IS MANAGEMENTS FAULT. THE FOOD IS GREAT AS WELL ASTHE WAITER. MANAGEMENT NEEDS ANOTHER WAITER OR TWO. The grilled oysters are amazing as well as the Boudin Balls. There is a creamy crab sauce on top of the Boudin Balls and also... grilled corn kernels. Absolutely delicious and their Margaritas are the best. Read more

Service was Great and the food was amazing. Ordered the blackened chicken alfredo and the sauce was thick and creamy. So many... places serve a watery sauce but theirs was the best I've had. Only suggestion I could give them is to have more local beerselection. Read more
