I sent this to the restaurant, and I'm posting it here as well: We ordered takeout from the Manhattan Beach CPK again tonight,... for the last time. Since the start of the pandemic we have regularly ordered takeout from you. I really don't think I amexaggerating to say that you have never once gotten our order right. Sometimes items we've ordered and paid for get left out ofthe bags. Sometimes we get food we didn't order, like tonight, when my husband got Cedar Plank Salmon instead of the Salmonwith Pan-Roasted Vegetables that he ordered. Often we modify the order, only to find out our requests were ignored. I say "noscallions," and get scallions. Or I ask for one topping to be left off, and you leave off every topping. And always, ALWAYS,whether we order by phone or online, we say no napkins or utensils, and we get napkins and utensils. Tonight was typical. Wephoned in the order and spoke with Lori, who asked if we wanted napkins and utensils. We said no. When we got to therestaurant and I called in for curbside pickup, I said to the person who answered, "We always say no napkins or utensils, and wealways get them anyway. So please open our bags and take them out." She said she would alert the people packing the order(which shouldn't have been necessary, since we had said this to Lori). We should have made the man who brought the food to ourcar go through the bags and pull out the napkins and utensils, but we foolishly had hope that you would have gotten it right foronce. No such luck. Not only are you wasting your money and sticking us with items that we have no use for and cannot returnto you, but you are violating California Public Resources Code Chapter 5.2. This law took effect 1 January 2022, and prohibits"retail food establishments" from providing "single-use accessories" (including "forks, knives, spoons, and sporks") toconsumers unless they are requested. Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food was great. The pizza came out a bit slow but it wasn’t a huge deal. It was... super satisfying. We got the five cheese and tomatoe pizza and a half Thai crunch salad to share between two people. I wasworried the Thai crunch salad would be dressed to heavily - I usually like asking for dressing in the side when I get saladsbecause sometimes they overdress it but was pleasantly satisfied with the amount of the dressing. It tasted really good and itwas nice to have before the pizza. The pizza’s crust was also fresh and good. We came hungry and left pretty satisfied. Thebread and oil were tasty too. In a nice area with plenty of free parking. Service is always excellent from wait staff. Takes a while to get food, but it's... always good. Only issue is my past 3 or 4 times we were sat at tables that hadn't been cleaned before we got to it. In a timewhere germophobes, like me, are at peak anxiety, this is hard for me. Read more
Your casual dining in Manhattan Beach but very tasty and great variety of food and drinks. It can be a quick bite or a full on... dinner/ lunch experience. Food is always tasty and there is always some delicious changes on the menu. Appetizer small pizzasare delicious! Pasta is always a great choice, especially Jambalaya.
