Reasons to love the Wine Cafe: - Live music every weekend - New and totally delicious food & cocktail menu - Re-vamped attached... off-sale liquor store, which specializes in fine wine - Splendidly eclectic, dive bar feel with a dash of sophistication (butnot too much to feel stuffy) The Wine Cafe is truly a must-go for anyone living in or visiting Mankato. The Cafe changedownership right before COVID hit, and the new owner has been breathing new life into the space little by little, meaning it'seven better now than it was three years ago I'm not sure what they're planning next, but whatever changes they make in thefuture are sure to be stylish and delicious. I wanna give this place 5 stars. It serves an important role in the Kato community and the ambiance is 10/10. But the bar is... frequently understaffed (painfully so on some nights) and the limited food options take forever to get to you. I will alwaysfrequent this establishment, because I cherish the wine list and chill seating. That is, as long as they keep a long wine list,food on the menu and host the occasional local musicians. This is definitely a Is hidden gem. Extremely nice, laid back, and friendly Atmosphere. And that feeling doubles down with the... employees and how they interact with you.
