Such a great local place! We were going to go up the road for bbq but were keyed into this gem instead. And thank goodness we... were; Smoke on the Water is definitely the best place in town! Best pulled pork I?ve had in Washington, and the chicken wasreally tender and well-flavored. The potato salad was a tad mustard-y for my taste (but my boyfriend loves it), and the beansand cornbread were both delicious. BBQ chicken that falls off the bone, brisket cooked to perfection, pulled pork whose memory is still making my mouth water a... week later... This is what you can expect from this place. However, it's tricky to get a meal here for dinner; we made 3attempts. They were always closed early due to running out of meat. After asking the right questions, I found out the secretthat the locals use... Call them up between 2-4pm to place your order and pick up no later than 5:45pm. A bit too early fordinner in our house, but for this BBQ, it's worth it. A few other random notes: fantastic moist cornbread. Their baked beanswere sweet and almost perfect (maybe needs more bacon?). They only do call in. Brisket was mostly fat. Pulled pork sandwich was good though, so was the Cuban. Great tasting cornbread.
