I NEVER leave one star reviews on anything but this was beyond disappointing. First off when we got home we realized that a few... of our items were missing ?this was after we had to change our order twice after we were informed that they didn?t have severalthings on the menu . what we did end up with was just horrible ?we ended up with 2 avocado rolls that looked like a 2 year oldmade them , the rice on the rolls were crunchy , the volcano rolls tasted like just grass & seasoning and the chicken fried ricewas dry . Quality of fish was not fresh and did not have any flavor . Very overpriced for the quality & quantity you receive.Would not recommend. I eat sushi several times weekly & consider it a staple in my diet . I can ignore aesthetics but not theoverall taste , quality and safety of ingredients . We had a large group of 8 that came in and we had the place to ourselves. The owner greeted us kindly and explained all the... specials. He made all the food sound good so we ordered tacos, sushi, and wings. All were very good! We had a long wait but theywere very accommodating and brought us the wings as an appetizer. Rating this straight on the sushi. We got 5 specialty rolls that in any other part of the world would be less expensive and... taste certainly better. But the rolls taste good. Obviously need some quality control with the fish. Every single roll the fishhas sat out for a while. Warm and mushy. This sucks because the flavors are there. If these rolls were done correctly they?d beon par with sushi you?d get at Uchi in Austin or NYC. But this is Roanoke island so I get it. The staff was closing up and stillvery nice and accommodating, so I can?t speak to the other reviews on negative service. We really wanted to like this place.It?s just not there and we won?t be back soon. Get on top of the quality game and the social media presence and this could be acult style hidden gem. Good luck. Iv heard a lot of mixed comments about Wabi Sabi and I decided to just try it for myself. I got a Poke bowl and a Rainbow roll... and I spend $30. I ended up throwing both of them away after taking one bite because it was disgusting. I haven?t tried any oftheir other food but they should stop trying to make sushi. The fish was cut to thick and didn?t taste fresh. The spicy Mayo andwasabi Mayo they had put on top of both the roll and poke is probably what made it so bad despite the fish not being fresh. 10/10 don?t recommend especially for the price. Read more
