They need more help, my chicken sandwich was burnt on the outside but undercooked on the inside. The server did give me $5 off... but I won't go back. I used to love this place. The pandemic messed them up or management needs to do better when hiring. Read more
This was my place to go for well over 22 years. I moved over to the other side of Minneapolis so I don't here often anymore but... today was the worst service ever. I had to request the waitress being our drinks, we requested no cheese on the burger the putcheese on it pointed that out and she took it back returned with it and the had just peeled the cheese off fine EXCEPT theymissed a bunch! Had to ask for extra sauce twice. Never got any refills. Epic fail today! Read more
Unfortunately it was not good. Lots of people waiting to be seated, lots of people waiting for food, and lots of people waiting... for checks. We were one of them. French toast had zero egg mixture in it and was basically grilled bread and cold. The biscuitand sausage gravy was cold, had zero sausage, and tasted like flour and water. The pancake hush puppies were burnt on outsideand dry and crumbling on the inside. Both plates of scrambled eggs were hot and fresh, but for some reason one came with cheeseinside and one didn't. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary and started our day taking my hubby's 92 year old Aunt out for breakfast at Denny's. We... were greeted by the hostess & sat right away. Our server, Rhonda, greeted right away and asked what beverage we'd like to startwith. I ordered coffee for all 3 of us, as my hubby was still parking the car, since he dropped us off at the front door. Therewas handicap parking available, but didn't want our Aunt to walk more than she had to. Rhonda was incredible!! She was busy,but made you feel as if you were her only table. That's quite a feat. Our coffees were always filled, which was fantastic, wedrink a lot of coffee in the morning. The food was served quickly and everything was delicious! Rhonda even made time for smalltalk and made us feel like we were welcome. We tipped her in cash and she said it was too much. Who does that? Only someone whogenuinely cares about the exceptional service she provides. Of course we insisted & thanked her. Had just lost 2 cooks and short staffed, so service was....challenging, which was understandable. I'm caffeine sensitive and can... only drink decaf. I was given the wrong coffee (our server poured 1st cup, different girl poured 2nd cup) and had a medicalissue while there. I was already upset/crying as it's very uncomfortable for me in public if it happens, so wanted to leaveasap. Our server finally came back, husband explained what was going on and asked for the check. She was upset it happened andsaid not to worry, she was going to take care of the bill. Next thing we know, the 2nd girl is at our table, loudly asking aboutwhat was wrong with me and that it wasn't her that gave me the wrong coffee. I felt humiliated and so embarrassed as otherpatrons were now staring at me. She then asked why the ticket was ripped...we explained what our server said. 2nd girl reprintsthe ticket, took off the cost of our drinks, not even using the coupon for my husband's free meal, and continued to make a bigdeal and drawing attention to my medical issue.
