Absolutely Amazing! 36 craft beers on tap ????, delishious food, and family friendly. Staff is super friendly and food portions... are worth the price. Parking is a bit difficult and it's very small inside to be prepared for a wait during peak hours. Read more
After spending a week in Marathon, I sampled a variety of what the island has to offer. We came to Herbie?s for some appetizers... because we couldn?t decide between two restaurants. I?m glad we started here because this is by far one of the best clamchowders I have ever had. It was thick and flavorful and my only regret is I only got a cup. I?d rate the baked oysters at a7/10. They were a little gritty but incredibly flavorful. The food arrived fast and hot. Everything was as ordered. Normally,I?d rate this place around a 4 based on the food alone but the atmosphere really pushes it over the edge. The locals at the barwere so friendly and the staff here really are outstanding. We love places that look weathered from the outside because theyusually have the most amazing staff and food. Herbie?s is doing it right and I would certainly return! Stopped in for lunch, had a bowl of New England clam chowder (not pictured, but delicious, got a quart too go!). I had the... ?cheeseburger in parafries? (basically a cheeseburger salad on top of a plate of fries, surrounded by fried cheesecurds?????)which was delicious also! We will be back! Read more
Delicious food from a hole-in-the-wall! Choose several of the specials -- Kitchen Sink Wings and Elk Sliders. All amazing. The... loaded potato salad is my new favorite potato salad (honor previously held by The Shed). Fantastic, quick service. Great beerselection. Awesome last dinner of our trip.
