This was my first time trying this restaurant on 11/18/2022. I ordered the fried chicken lunch special with black rice.... Amazing!! The rice was the best I have ever tasted. The food was fresh and so delicious. The Pikliz has the perfect amount ofspice but a little on the salty side. Read more
The plate of food was visually appealing. The black rich was dark and rich looking. The Tassot was covered in onions tipped with... two fresh plantain?s. The plantains were fried to perfection and went well with the pikliz. I got the fried goat and it wastasty but it was just too hard. It felt like I was eating Captain Crunch, gums hurts after I ate it. They have an amazing Papayadrink that they serve. The papaya drink is a 10/10. The black rice was really good, you could smell the thyme and mushroomflavor however it was cold. I still ate it all. The macaroni that came with the meal was a macaroni salad rather than themacaroni au gratin. I didn?t like the macaroni salad at all but I ate it anyway honestly because I was simply hungry. The food here is good. I ordered the fried turkey and my guest opted for the stew chicken. I believe the good is made up order... here and the restaurant appeared clean. The food was not oily which I appreciated because alot of Haitian restaurants are reallygreasy. I thought I was getting Haitian macaroni that way baked and tried clarifying that before my order. This is such a wonderful restaurant. Not only do they have the best Griot I?ve ever had, their customer service is unmatched....
