Great place for a date! I had the salmon which was a tad bit overcooked but well seasoned and ragu/smashed purple potatoes were... delicious. My date had shrimp pasta which he said was delish! Really love the vibe of this place. It's an interesting combination of warm, welcoming, modern, and a bit of a sports bar feel.... There is a nice, big bar at the front on the left when you walk in. Up the ramp to the back is where all the seating is. It wasclean and bright. Our waiter was friendly, good sense of humor, but got a little overwhelmed and had to be prompted to get ourmain entrees. The food was very good, save for the special which was shrimp tacos. My date said they were flavorless. Otherwise,we greatly enjoyed our experience. A lovely date location with great food. I went to L on North for a business dinner and was so impressed by the atmosphere of the upper floor and service that was... provided. The options for appetizers, entrees and desserts were all wonderful and the chance to sample them all gave me a greatexperience. My wife and I have supported Salem and Gigi from the very beginning … during the shutdown we often ordered carry out and well... tipped their wait staff as we intentionally drank several glasses of wine while waiting. I used to recommend L and North toeveryone. NO LONGER. 1) Many of their great waiters have left due to internal dissension… the current staff for the most partis unhappy and uncaring. 2) Their once great menu has devolved into mediocrity. The last three times I’ve been there the foodwas poor. The fare has always been overpriced but the food then was good and somehow justifiable. No more. 3) Making thingsalmost pathetic, they are now adding a credit card fee for their food and drinks! This is totally unacceptable. I will no longerspend my hard earned money for over priced, substandard food served by a disgruntled waitstaff. Read more
