The restaurant is in an old strip mall. It has a dated & slightly shabby appearance. The server seemed like he might have been... having a bad day. He seemed a bit surly. However, the food was very good. We had eaten at their food truck and liked it a lot.The food truck is often parked at Baldwin and Indiana 18 West in Marion. It is very good highly recommend it. At the restaurant,the prices were competitive and servings large. We will be back. Hopefully, the server will be having a better day. Read more

Ordered delivery and short two tacos. They delivered the second time and gave us extra tàco and filled them all very full also... cheese sauce and another bag of chips and salsa. Staff is very friendly and food is excellent everytime! Great quality andquantity along with reasonable prices. Love this restaurant! Highly recommended! Read more
Let me be honest... ...this was a let down for me. My first experience with Esmeralda's was actually really good. I had some... tacos from their food truck that were fire! So with that delicious sampling of tacos, I wanted to try their restaurant fordinner... I wasn?t pleased. First...the restaurant wasn't exactly the cleanest. Next...and this really frustrated me...whenthey took my order, once I already paid, they informed me that they raised their prices by several dollars compared to themenus. Our dinner cost almost $10 more because of this! Now the food... ...it was just meh... Bland...unevenly cooked...sadportions... Just not what I expected. Not worth $14 a meal. when this place opened I gave it good reviews and then this business started to pick up. these people have got greedy and say... for instance the Marion plate is 899. I guess during lunch but they mark it up. $4 for dinner and don't even put that on themenu. they have all these hidden prices now that are way too much. they've got greedy and ahead of themselves. One time I camein there for enchiladas and there was a piece of metal in my food. I kindly brought it to their attention and they hadabsolutely no emotional reaction whatsoever. they only said do you want us to remake this instead of saying? oh my gosh we areso sorry You could have died from eating that let us give you a free meal and the next one. We are so sorry that will neverhappen again. No, they never said anything close to that. I am extremely disappointed. they are simply taking advantage ofpeople in Marion. The service is horrible. they don't ever come to ask if you would like any to go containers if you need arefill or anything else and of course they expect a tip. bottom line they charge way too much for way too little. they aretaking advantage of people and they could care less.
