Wonderful experience with family after our beautiful 4 days Yosemite trip! Super relaxing. You will have some furry company too.... After spending a few days in Mariposa and Yosemite, we planned on ending our trip with a visit to the Butterfly Creek Winery. We... checked out of our room at 9:30 am and the winery didn?t open until 11. We really wanted to check this place out and taste/buysome wine so we killed time until they opened. Their website shows that they are open Tuesday through Sunday. It?s a long driveout in the country and not easy to find. When we got there about 11:30 am two friendly barking dogs greeted us. There were carsin the driveway. The winery was all locked up with a closed sign. It was clear to us that they were there as we saw movement inthe windows and the dogs barking was very loud. WE looked around the grounds for someone to help us but no one came out.Considering we drove all the way out there (gas was $5.69 gal) and came during their business hours, we felt very insulted thatthey completely disregarded us. It was so obvious that they were there and we took it as a big eff you that they wouldn?t atleast greet us and apologize for closing without notice. We waited about 20 and finally left.
