I first tried Katsuya at this Markham location. They specialize in Japanese tonkatsu: deep-fried breaded pork loin accompanied... by house sauce, coleslaw & rice. Garlic chili katsu, added sweetness & garlic chips to the relatively bland crispy pork loincuts. Other sauce options include curry, carbonara, and a house sauces made from a blend of many fruits & vegetables. I do wishtheir tonkatsu had more flavour on its own. Takeout katsu plates were well-packed, and also came with miso soup & salad. Theywere super packed when we visited, so the staff seemed to have a hard time keeping up. Read more
